About Connect Grow Thrive Counselling Service

 At Connect Grow Thrive, we deliver evidenced-based, person-centred and compassionate mental health counselling to individuals in Bass Coast and South Gippsland. We meet clients where they are at - emotionally and mentally - offering a safe space for healing, connection, and growth. With deep local insight and a commitment to walking alongside each individual, we foster hope, empower resilience, and honour the unique story within every human experience. 


 

About Deslee Close

 Deslee Close is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Deslee has worked with a wide variety of presentations, including depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, family violence, and sexual assault.  She is especially passionate in providing counselling to young people, and/or their families through a range of mental health and life challenges. Deslee has a strong background in youth mental health and addiction, and has a particular interest in perinatal support, grief and bereavement, as well as supporting parents to navigate the complex dynamics of parenting children with challenging or neurodiverse behaviours.

 

With a commitment to respect, non-judgment, and confidentiality, Deslee brings a warm, compassionate, and relational approach to her work, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their experiences and take meaningful steps toward their goals.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Social Work (Monash University) BSW

Diploma in Social and Community Welfare (Monash University) DipSCW

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW)

Member of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
